Council Members Attend Ceremonial Events in Curaçao and Sint Maarten
Two members of the Island Council of Sint Eustatius recently participated in two significant ceremonial events within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
On June 26th, 2025 Councilman Clyde van Putten and Council Lady Mercedes Lopes-Spanner represented the Island Council in Curaçao at an event marking the 75th Anniversary of Roosevelt House & the Independence Day of the United States of America.
On June 30th, 2025 Councilman Clyde van Putten represented the Island Council at the Gala hosted by the Parliament of Sint Maarten, themed “Celebrating Parliamentary Democracy”.

Through participation in these events the Island Council showcased Sint Eustatius' commitment to national collaboration and active engagement in inter-island relations, further strengthening ties across the Kingdom.
