Executive Council News
Section 1: On Monday, 13 October 2025, the State Secretary for Interior and Kingdom Relations began his working visit to Sint Eustatius with a discussion with representatives from STENAPA on environmental and nature challenges. He then toured the seaport and received an update on the Cliff project, the Regional Deal, and preparations for the First Salute 2026 commemoration.
An island tour with Commissioner Rechelline Leerdam offered a closer look at farming initiatives, particularly efforts to make fresh fruits and vegetables more affordable for the community. The visit concluded with meetings with the Executive Council and Island Council.

As part of the Strategic Action Plan for Sustainable Agriculture (SAPSA), the Department of Agriculture and Veterinary Services (LVV) is conducting a community survey to gain a better understanding of the island’s processing needs.
